What is
Salwa?
Salwa translates to solace. This is what I strive to offer my clients.
A space that is fully accepting of them and a stage where they
feel peace and joy in life, regardless of circumstances.
Therapy allows us to become more aligned with our authentic
selves and I want to make that possible for my clients.
My name is Sufia. I am a qualified Person-Centred therapist
who is passionate about supporting clients in their
journey of self-discovery and emotional growth.
With two years of experience working with adults voluntarily
and as a School counsellor with children and young people.
I am now enthused to expand into private practice.
We all have parts of our life - or ourselves we want to improve.
No matter the concern, I help clients to truly understand themselves better to aid in overcoming any presenting issues.

Openness, understanding and being attuned to my client are paramount to my role. Having worked with clients who brought
a range of life problems, losses and mental health
concerns. I offer a safe, non-judgmental, confidential and compassionate space. Allowing clients to identify, explore
and understand the difficulties in their life.
I work with over 16s and can help with any concerns clients have.
I use a range of modalities in my work and tailor therapy to
each client's needs. I am very dedicated to helping clients
overcome barriers or process life issues they face.
I am currently accepting new clients. Feel free to
reach out to arrange a free consultation.
Why choose
Person-centred Counselling?
Although I use a blend of different modalities, the model of my expertise is Person-centred therapy. With so many counselling
models available, finding the type of therapy for you can be difficult.
Here's what Person-centred therapy can offer you:
In person-centred counselling, we allow you to take the lead in your journey of healing & self-discovery.
This type of therapy has no time limit. How many sessions you have and when you choose to end is up to you.
Offers you a deeper connection, not only with others in your life. Most importantly, with yourself.
Allowing you to tap into your true potential and become the best version of yourself. Letting go of past pain.
